This is a great little trip of an album; takes you to some pretty unexpected places. Definitely has some of that prog mentality, but more on the moderate side, so it retains interest while also managing to be an easy listen.
If this album were a person, you'd have to call them, "easy going," and (with adequate gravitas) "groovy."

Have you heard the silence?
Have you been invaded?
By the solitude of gods
Everyone get closer,
pop into the border,
listen to the big one call!
Have you been awakened?
Or have you been mistaken?
by the authorities of love
Believing in conscience,
taking it for granted,
lost us in this big big Hole.
Have you seen the darkness turn into a spirit howl?
Have you been invaded by solitudes of god?
We have heard the corners of our minds
Dragon Fruit has come for us to find.
Have we proved to deserve fear?
while we build up another war
Is the fate of the house of cards,
waiting for its fall
Rage, nor redemption
Did you hear the sound?
A scream comes through the land you own,
the sixth extinction.
Getting close to the void!
Getting close to the end!
Have you listen to the news?
Or are you throwing up some hate?
The era claims you are son of god,
depending on your race
Or other hex,
Your mind state,
knows we are the virus we deserve!
Geting close to the void!
Getting close to an end!
Is the time to break another wall,
we have in ourselves,
like a plague inside the core
Remember, control is just an ilussion,
made by those perpetrating their fear for life.

Turn on, tune in, drop out! Welcome to Dragonfruit, a new journey designed by Plastic Woods to attract, shock, vibrate and stroke the listener through six songs that explore different genres in a lunatic, cosmic dance. Plastic Woods redefines its sound and takes a step forward, creating a piece of work that explores new territories in an unique way.
The chaotic times we are living inspire this three musicians to push their personality as a band. Thought to take the best of each style involved, the album takes the best from each planetary system they visit. Classic psychedelia renovates itself as Dragonfruit travels around some of the extreme situations lived, personally and colectively, on these late times. This is an album that brings both dreams and nightmares to life, reflecting on a wide range of emotions and topics. Ranging from naive and introspection to political and social complaint, each song tells its own story, in a delirious an poethic way. Plastic Woods offers a piece of work that will engage with different kind of audiences, no matter if they are into progressive music or want something different to get their ears on. This album is a puzzle to be solved, and every clue, every listen, makes it wider and more profound.
